yo i need help, any ideas.

right iv pretty much got my story but there are still a few little holes, but a major hole is the hero in my story
i cant think of a name!!

i have a slight idea for the look whichj im working on but the hero doesnt have a name lol

its the vitamin B12

also whilst doing research the word cyanocobalamin keep popping up and its used to treat anemia and it breaks down in the body to its active forms.

first hydroxocobalamin and then methylcobalamin and finally adenosylcobalamin.

and iv looked at things that make up this but i still cant put together a name.

so if any1 can come up with even a slight hint as to how i could get together a name it would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

osmosis jones

here are some images from osmosis jones which helped influence my ideas.

from looking at these images i noticed everything is smooth and rounded there are no sharp points or anything when it comes to the characters apart from drix who came from the capsule tablet but as for the cells they are all rounded and smooth.

i found this 3d image of drix which i thought was pretty cool and i might use something like this as the hero for my story.

here we have thrax the villain from osmosis jones and the colour are very dark to help get across that he is evil, so i might use this kind of colour scheme for my villian character.

here is another character from osmosis jones but this one is from the tv series and looking at this along with the other villian thrax they have 1 thing in common a longish black trench coat to make them look that bt more evil and this might be an idea for my villian if i give him a long black trench coat.

work and more work

right been having a few troubles at home lately so that y i havnt posted but iv been getting my work on this modernism essay done so finishing that off today and then time for some concept work, i have some ideas for character design aswell which some of my inspiration came from osmosis jones which im gonna upload in a min. anyway back to the essay and hopefully you will see some images up here later.

Super ted

you only have to watch the intro to get the idea of how my narration will work with my project.

the story so far

ok so this is my story so far in a quick nutshell as i took pernicious anemia and simplified it as much as possible so its easier for kids to understand and so i thought simplicity is the best option for this audience.

so pernicious anemia is simply put where the blood cells become too large and they cant leave the bone marrow to enter into the blood stream. and so i took this and thought of an idea.

the bone marrow can be the home.

the blood stream can be where all the blood cells get together and have fun.

the blood cells can be the charcaters and they can be like children.

and pernicious anemia will be the evil enermy which makes the blood cells bigger so they cant leave the bone marrow.

this then has a hidden meaning.

whilst your a small child you have a lot of freedom but as you become older and bigger you lose all of the freedom you have, so enjoy being a child whilst you still can. and i believe this can help with my story as most of the adults i know all the say the same thing and what they would do to be a child again.

and of course the hero who beats the villain, which is vitamin B12 which i have to try and think up a name for.

anyway on with my story in a nutshell.

we see the red blood cells in the bone marrow and the red blood cells leave the marrow and join the rest of their friends in the blood stream, but along comes the evil pernicious anemia with his super sizer ray, which he uses to make the blood cells bigger, the blood cells think this is great being bigger and older but they then realise they cant leave the bone marrow and become upset, the blood stream then gets thinner and we dont see as many red blood cells in the blood stream. then along comes the hero vitamin B12 who beats the evil pernicious anemia and saves the red blood cells who then return to their normal size and leave the bone marrow to join all their friends again, but we see the evil pernicious anemia hasnt been destroyed but just weakened, and this story can then continue on as a cycle and starts all over again so if the story is repeated it shows the cycle in which pernicious anemia has to be treated over and over and never goes away.

im working on the story as we speak to come up with a completed version but this gives a basic overview of my project.

time for a major update

right well its about time i start using this more often lol, i havnt had much time lately as i have been working on a website for a company which has been taking up most of my time over the past 2 weeks but i have been doing some work on my uni project and its about time i post some stuff lol, i thought about my idea and i was wondering how i could make panicious anemia work and so i thought of instead making an adult style animation im gonna base mine on the audience aged between 5 and 12, this means i can have a lot of characterisation and so i have been thinking about how to create my little cartoon.

i looked into osmoses jones and animation based inside the human body which blood cells and i think i might do something a little like that. also i thought little kids dont like reading and so i was thinking how can i get rid of all txt apart from the title from my project and i thought sound and visuals so im going to have a narrative over the top instead of voices for the characters. and i thought back to a really old cartoon that used the same style at the beggining to introduce the story, Super Ted. i remember loving it when i was a little kid and i couldnt wait to get home and watch it. im gonna put a vid on here if i can find 1 on you tube to show the basis for how my sound will work with the animation and im going to try and get profesional narrative done which will help boost my project an awful lot. anyway these are some things i have been thinking off, my next blog will be my idea.

website which may help all for ideas

http://catalog.nucleusinc.com/nucleusindex.php?

i found this website whilst looking for videos on anatomy to try and help with some ideas, there are lots of videos which i will put a few of on my blog soon

new project Virtual anatomy

well we got our new project yesterday which is the last project for the year, we have to produce a complete 3d animation which is a minimum of 2 minutes max of 6 minutes.

we have to create the animation with the human anatomy in mind and choose our own topic. i have an idea of what i want to do my project on but im not sure how to represent it as an animation.

i have chosen pernicious anemia for my project as it is a form of anemia where there is a deficiency of the vitamin b12 and can be quite serious but a lot of people do not understand this so i believe creating this animation would be beneficial to the brief as we have to pitch it as if we are trying to get funding for the animation for a science museum on showing some part of the human anatomy and i believe this would be a big advantage.

i am still looking at other ideas and trying to find ideas but this is a main big idea for me which i am going to try and work on.

Pernicious anemia

Pernicious anaemia is a condition in which the body does not make enough red blood cells due to a lack of vitamin B12 in the body. It usually occurs in people whose bodies have lost the ability to absorb vitamin B12 from food.

In pernicious anaemia, the blood cells do not divide normally and are too large. They have trouble getting out of the bone marrow. The problem is due to a lack of vitamin B12 in the body. Vitamin B12 is one of the B vitamins; B vitamins are found in animal foods such as meat, fish, eggs, milk, and other dairy products. Vitamin B12 is necessary for the body to make red blood cells. It is also needed for the normal working of the nervous system.

The condition was named “pernicious” anaemia because it was often fatal in the years before the cause was discovered to be a lack of vitamin B12, and no specific treatments were available. Now it is easy to treat with vitamin B12 pills or injections. Pernicious anaemia can be severe if it goes on for a long time without being treated. If it is not treated, it can cause permanent damage to the body. Pernicious anaemia is especially common in older adults.

People who have pernicious anaemia often feel tired and weak because the body is not getting enough oxygen. Over time, if untreated, this disease can cause serious problems for the heart, nerves, and other parts of the body.

this is going to be my basis for my work as i am going to try and get across to the audience just what pernicious anemia is and how it can affect the body in certain ways which can be deadly if untreated.

some the things that can happen due to anemia are

heart murmurs
fast or irregular heart beats
an enlarged heart
heart failure
heart attacks
strokes
damage nerve cells leading to
numbing tingling feelings
problems with walking and balance
can change taste smell and vision
can also cause memory loss, mental changes and confusion
can change the surface of the tongue
shrink or thin the stomach lining
any changes that occur inside the stomach can lead to stomach cancer

these are just some of the things that pernicious anemia can cause and as you can see it can be quite deadly as b12 helps create blood and without b12 blood cannot be reproduced and so the blood levels drop which can then lead to a coma if untreated and then death.

pernicious anemia was very fatal before the cause was discovered and no treatments where available and this is what i am going to try and portray in my project.
